Description
Poshinda’s Soil Friend Vermi Compost is a nutrient-rich organic fertilizer produced from the excrement of earthworms. It is a valuable soil amendment that can be used for a wide variety of plants, offering numerous benefits for their growth and overall health.
Poshinda’s Soil Friend Vermi Compost is versatile and can be used for almost all types of plants, including:
- Indoor Plants: Use during repotting by mixing it with the potting soil (ratio of 1:4 vermicompost to soil). You can also top-dress established plants every 1-2 months by gently working a thin layer into the topsoil.
- Outdoor Plants (Flowers, Vegetables, Fruits, Shrubs, Trees):
- At Planting: Mix vermicompost into the planting hole. For seedlings and transplants, a handful mixed with the soil is beneficial. For larger plants and trees, use more depending on the size of the root ball.
- Top Dressing: Apply around the base of established plants, avoiding direct contact with the stem. Gently work it into the topsoil and water thoroughly. Apply every 2-3 months during the growing season.
- Seed Starting: Mix a small amount of vermicompost into your seed-starting mix to provide essential nutrients for germination and early growth.
Lawns and Planting Beds: Spread a thin layer (0.25 to 0.5 inch) over the surface once every 3 months.
- Kitchen Gardens: Apply around the base of vegetable plants at planting and as a side dressing during the growing season.
- Fruit Trees and Ornamentals: Apply around the drip line of the trees or shrubs, working it lightly into the soil. Apply 2-5 kg per tree depending on its age and size, 1-2 times per year.
